San Donato Vineyards
This vineyard, planted in 2010, overlooks the medieval settlement of San Donato in Poggia (from which it has “stolen” its name) and welcomes all who arrive at the Montecchio Estate. It forms a picturesque and exquisite carpet that brings the guest’s eye towards the 19th century Manor house that belonged to the noble Marquises Torrigiani of Florence. The exposure, geological and microclimatic characteristics make it the perfect vineyard for il Sangiovese that you can find in our Chianti Classico DOCG, Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva, Pietracupa IGT and Etrusco IGT.
