\"\"Chianti<\/strong> is one of the most sought-after and well-loved destinations for tourists from all over the world. And not for nothing.
\nThere\u2019s plenty to like: historic villages<\/strong> to get lost in, breath-taking landscapes<\/strong>, inimitable gastronomic products<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

You can find all of the above at La Papessa, the <\/a>Fattoria Montecchio holiday farm, perched on the highest hill in the estate, which overlooks the medieval village of San Donato in Poggio. Sounded by Montecchio vineyards, the holiday farm is named after a local countrywoman from the last century. She had a strong, independent character, took care of the estate for decades and was affectionately nicknamed La Papessa by the locals \u2013 and some of the older members of the community are still around to tell the tale!<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

The estate features two different buildings, both made from stone. During the summer months, the swimming pool<\/strong><\/a> becomes a hub for relaxation, while the barbecue<\/strong> area \u2013 nestled underneath the trees \u2013 in popular in any season.
